KPK Budget 2023-24 – Salary increase 35% for govt employees

The KPK government has announced the Budget 2022-24, and government servants across Pakistan are rejoicing as their salaries have been increased by up to 35%. This sudden announcement has left all employees surprised, and they are thrilled with the significant increase in their salary.

According to media all government employees from Grade Bps-01 to Bps-16 have been awarded 35% ad-hoc relief on their running basic pays. Similarly, for Bps-17 to Bps-22, 30% ad-hoc relief has been awarded. Moreover, the pensioners have also received good news, as their pension has been increased by up to 17.5%.

However, this increment is only for federal employees, and it is not applicable to provincial employees. Nevertheless, it is expected that the provinces will follow the Federal Budget, and they will also announce a 35% increment in salaries.

There are rumors that the caretaker government in KPK and Punjab, which is currently working, will present only a four-month budget and may not announce an increase in salaries. However, it remains to be seen how KPK and Punjab caretaker governments will announce the increment in salaries or not.
